This product lowers the pH. Proper pH balance is an essential part of Spa/Hot Tub maintenance. If the pH of the water is high, the warm water accelerates scale formation on the sides of the Spa/Hot Tub and heater elements. The water tends to be cloudy and eye irritation may develop. Scale build-up may also begin to occur.
When closing your pool, add 2 ounces per 10,000 gallons of water each of the two previous weeks before closing, check all other levels, then close. In warmer climates where the pools are not closed but are not used add 1 ounce per 10,000 gallons of water every 6 weeks.
